Join Historic Columbia at Jubilee: Festival of Black History & Culture from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. Now in its 47th year, this free outdoor festival brings musicians, artisans, dancers and storytellers together to celebrate South Carolina's Black history and culture on the grounds of the Mann-Simons Site.

On Saturday, June 20th, 2026, area restaurants will compete in Columbia's 11th Shrimp & Grits Fest. One restaurant will be named "Columbia's Best Shrimp & Grits" by a panel of judges. There will also be a winner in the "People's Choice" division. Tickets will include unlimited shrimp & grit samples from restaurant participants, live music by The Get Down acoustic duo, door prizes, and more. Many restaurants have shrimp and grits on their menu; most even claim theirs is the best. Now is the chance to find out who really has the best shrimp and grits!
