Belle Plaine's Downtown Festival is held the third weekend of April, just 25 minutes south of Wichita via I-35. Since 1986, Belle Plaine, KS has welcomed thousands of visitors to this two day event. Cowtown Days

Cowtown Days has something for everyone at one of the first events of the Spring. Average of 75-100 cars and 100 craft and food vendors along with a BBQ smoke-off competition, pie eating contests, bounce houses, Saloon show, old west shootouts, and Live music all day long. There are plenty of activities, awesome food, lots of shade and everything is accessible from paved streets and sidewalks.

Millfest

Each spring, the museum hosts Millfest – a family event celebrating the history of the mill and the pioneer heritage of the region. Millfest is held the first weekend in May and features guided tours of the mill in operation. Professional millers run the mill (without grain) and tours are available for visitors age 13 and older. Other activities include a traditional arts fair, including a quilt show, live musical entertainment, and great food.

Katy Days Festival 26th

Our craft display is refered to as "Heritage Crafts" and is a demonstration event where participants must demonstrate an early day skill. I really think it is not the type of craft you are promoting in your publication. I would rather not get phone calls from people doing the typical "crafts" type of thing and then have to tell them no to our event. I recently attended a craft show featuring 500 crafters and only one fit in with what we are doing.

The Mulvane Art Fair is a juried art fair that features 80+ artists using a variety of media from across the state, region and country. We are proud to announce that last year's art fair featured artists from 14 different states – Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, Nebraska, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, California, Kansas, Minnesota, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and North Carolina. Gathering of approximately 44 craft, antique, art, and commercial vendors in booths near the historical museum, inside the zoo. Also includes a large sale of donated items spread across the historical museum patio.

Meriden Threshing Show 50th

2026 will be MAETA's 50th Annual Show, and our feature tractor is the Rumley / Oil Pull Steam Engine, the feature engine are the Oil Field engines. During the summer show there is a daily parade at 1pm; Threshing at 10am & 2pm daily; an Antique tractor pull Saturday afternoon and evening; garden tractor pulls Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday mornings, church service at 9am on Sunday in the Bloomfield Church, modern bathrooms with showers and primitive camping is available. The Chuckwagon is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of the buildings and living displays will be up and running. You can see how flour is made, watch the Blacksmiths work, see the big blade cut trees at the sawmill, walk around all the tractors and engines on display. There is live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights in the barn. The $10 entrance fee gets you in all 3 days. Visit the General Store and Print Shop, the 1854 Benedict Meyer Log Cabin, the 1895 Bloomfield Church, and more!
