Fur Rendezvous known as "Rondy" began in 1936 as a way for winter-weary Alaskans to celebrate the beginning of winter's end & to trade goods and supplies. With more than 25 official cultural/sporting activities and 20-30 community hosted Around Town events, Fur Rondy offers wacky winter fun like Running of the Reindeer, Skating with Critters & Outhouse Races. We partner with over 40 nonprofits with activities to raise awareness that allows them to carry out their Anchorage missions. Rondy will have a full slate of events large and small. Fur Rendezvous is committed to our mission of community support, economic impact, and fun for all.
