This coming year Junction City will celebrate the annual Scandinavian Festival, a four day celebration that pays homage to the cultures of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Whether you prefer to participate or simply wish to observe, the Scandinavian Festival offers a variety of events for the whole family. Vikings march down the street, folk dancers perform and instruct, choral and instrumental groups perform, and unusual handcrafts such as Hardanger embroidery, bobbin lace, and Rosemaling are displayed and sold among paintings, woodcrafts, and jewelry. There is no entry fee and the entertainment is free, visitors pay only for food or crafts items.
