Shell Lake is a friendly rural community of just over 1,300 people located in northwestern Wisconsin. One of the City's most unique features is its beautiful 2,580 acre lake. Shell Lake is the State's largest landlocked seepage lake. It is about 36 feet deep at its deepest; it is clear and clean; and it is an excellent place to fish, sail, swim, or just relax. In addition to our wonderful lake, Shell Lake is home to the Shell Lake Arts Center, which has been providing a quality arts education for over 40 years.
