For one week each year the fairgrounds in Owatonna rivals a large shopping center. Vendors from 20+ states bring a wide range of goods, from crystal to quilts, art to furniture, potato peelers to RV's. Over 100 food stands will tease the taste buds of fairgoers and have them eating everything from cotton candy to prime rib. Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy events from pig races to the puppet shows. Thrill seekers will prefer the 30 plus midway rides or one of the many attractions. Music lovers of all ages can visit the FREE entertainment stages and tap their feet to all kinds of different music. The Grandstand offers eight shows from concerts to bull riding. With so much to see and do, it's no wonder that the Steele County Free Fair was named "One of the top events in North America".

Ki-Chi-Saga Days 56th

Join our community to celebrate Ki-Chi-Saga Days, a great city festival with activities for all ages! The celebration is held in Moberg Park, but also includes other various locations throughout the city. Enjoy LIVE entertainment, including music, magician, petting zoo. There's fun for everyone from cribbage, garage sales, fishing, craft fair featuring 100+ vendors, food & more! FIREWORKS highlight the event on Saturday evening. This community celebration has been a great success because of our volunteers and donations from local businesses and others. Don't miss this wonderful community celebration! The Austin ArtWorks Festival is a free two-day outdoor event in Austin, Minnesota held annually—rain or shine—each August. Organized by Austin Area Arts (a local 501(c)3 nonprofit), the ArtWorks Festival is designed to offer a broad selection of experiences in the arts—visual, performing, literary, culinary, and more—in one celebratory weekend. We also strive to make our festival interactive by including family activities and demonstrations (e.g. glassblowing, wheel throwing, and metalwork). The festival is a staple of summer entertainment in the area, receiving rave reviews by local publications, thousands of visitors and community leaders.
