Art & Garden Festival 23rd

One of Petaluma’s most cherished summer traditions returns! The 23rd Art & Garden Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of creativity, community, and local flavor. Each year, over 15,000 people fill the historic downtown to enjoy a lively day of art, music, food, and fun. Explore more than 100 handpicked art exhibitors offering unique, high-quality, handmade goods—from garden and home décor to artisan jewelry and fine art. Live music will fill the air from two stages, while local wineries, breweries, distilleries, and restaurants serve up delicious tastes of Sonoma County and beyond. Gardening experts will be available to share tips on growing in our tricky adobe soil and making your garden truly organic. A Children’s Corner features jump houses, face painting, and free hands-on arts and crafts.

Come celebrate with us at this regional festival featuring all things lavender & honey including event-themed foods, arts & crafts, music, education and even a signature beer. Celebrating the best of local farms, local food, independent businesses and the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. The festival has its roots in a community college where, for more than a decade, the Western Nevada College Specialty Crop Institute hosted training workshops for farmers including lavender and honey producers. They had a vision—a lavender & honey festival to celebrate local agriculture—and that vision came to life in 2017! Today, our festival is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to educate the public and broaden public awareness on the benefits of supporting local farms and independent businesses through an annual festival and related events, all with lavender and honey as the organizing theme.
