Millfest

Each spring, the museum hosts Millfest – a family event celebrating the history of the mill and the pioneer heritage of the region. Millfest is held the first weekend in May and features guided tours of the mill in operation. Professional millers run the mill (without grain) and tours are available for visitors age 13 and older. Other activities include a traditional arts fair, including a quilt show, live musical entertainment, and great food.

Truman Days

Celebrate the birth of President Harry S. Truman, native son of Lamar, Missouri at Truman Day! We'll have 50+ vendors, thousands of visitors, a Truman impersonator, all events will be at his birthplace (a national historic site) and so much more!

Mayhaw Festival 34th

The Mayhaw Festival is an annual street festival with craft and food vendors, vintage market, antique car and motorcycle show, Newton House Museum tours, 5K fun runs, kid’s activities, Mayhaw jelly and live music. It is a great day of family fun held on the grounds of the Newton House Museum. The Mayhaw Festival is held on the first Saturday of May each year since 1992 and is put on by the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society in El Dorado, Arkansas. This event is free and open to the public.

ArtWalk

A wonderful weekend in Fayetteville! Stop by this beautiful town for ArtWalk held every first weekend of May on the historic square in Fayetteville Texas. ArtWalk is one of the major events that help support artists and ARTS’ children’s programs so that children in rural areas have access and exposure to the arts and art education as an outlet to further creative development and open up future opportunities.

Redbud Artisan Market 10th

Redbud Artisan Market, now in its 10th year, with 3 shows a year, is an art and fine craft show featuring the unique art of over 50 Texas artisans, in painting, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, glass and metal art, fiber art, photography and more. Live music throughout the weekend, food and wine on site and free admission/parking. The show takes place in the Marktplatz park under two large pavilions. Come join us!

Moscow Renaissance Fair 53rd

Only original work designed and crafted by the attending artist may be sold. Moscow, Idaho's community celebraion of spring is held under the trees at East City Park the weekend of the first Sunday in May each year. Craft booths operate Saturday 10 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., rain or shine--so be prepared!

Applications accepted after deadline for space or waiting list consideration The 65th annual Rotary Club of Saratoga Fine Arts Show takes place on May 2 & May 3, 2026. West Valley College is the beautiful setting for 125 fine arts and fine hand crafts booths. Artists set up on grass along the campus walkways create a stunning open-air gallery for this Fine Arts show. Art patrons will shop while strolling to light music and enjoying specialty beer/wine or take a respite with tasty on-site food trucks and kids area.
